Turku was the site of important artificial intelligence discussions when the international AI Summit event was held at Logomo during the day and evening on 17 November 2025. Lingsoft also had the honour of participating in this great day organised by ELLIS Institute Finland, AI Finland and Foundation PS .

The AI Summit lasted for the entire day an, brought together world-class AI researchers, top business leaders, and influential decision-makers from Finland, across Europe, and around the globe. The on-stage programme focused on the role AI plays in strengthening Europe’s growth, competitiveness and security, the current state of AI research and technology and its future in Europe. The official opening ceremony of ELLIS Institute Finland was held at the same time.

- Neil Lawrence, DeepMind Professor, University of Cambridge
- Thomas Wolf, Founder and CSO, Hugging Face
- Samuel Kaski, Founding Director of ELLIS Institute Finland, Professor at Aalto University
- Peter Sarlin, Co-Founder and CEO, Silo AI.
“A big thank you to Peter Sarlin for his contribution to the Finnish AI ecosystem! The presentations emphasised the importance of believing in the future and included speeches that challenged traditional public thinking. Although the future holds many challenges, it also offers a lot of opportunities,” said Lingsoft’s CEO Juhani Reiman after the event.
“It’s really wonderful to see an event like this being held in Turku!” commented Laura Karlsson , Marketing Director at Lingsoft, who took part in the AI Summit. “The speakers emphasised the importance of combining AI research, the third sector and the private sector as well as innovation, productivity growth and setting a sufficiently high targets. This is ultimately not only a question of resources, but how to turn them into useful products that can be successfully commercialised and marketed in Europe.”
The day culminated in the AI Gala, where 500 business leaders and top experts in the field celebrated Finnish AI achievements and learned about the opportunities it provides. The most impactful AI solutions and individuals of the past year were recognised at the gala.

Lingsoft’s Customer Experience Officer Maria Leinonen’s comments on the gala: “The AI interpretation solution used by Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county, which solves real multilingualism and accessibility problems in patient encounters, represents an excellent example of bold action in the highly regulated public sector. It received the AI Achievement of the Year award at the gala. Project Manager Heidi Paal’s ‘love your problem’ comment was particularly inspiring. Working together on customer needs produces solutions that really have an impact.”
