On Thursday 13 November 2025, we took part in the annual AI Day event organised by the Finnish Artificial Intelligence Society (https://www.stes.fi/) and the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence FCAI (https://fcai.fi/in-finnish). AI Day brings together researchers, companies and public sector actors in the field to share information, experiences and learn from each other. The programme included presentations of scientific studies, posters and panel discussions.

The Finnish Artificial Intelligence Society’s AI Dissertation Award for an outstanding dissertation in artificial intelligence , which is sponsored by Lingsoft, was also presented during the event. The award went to Aysen Degerli Ahishali, whose doctoral dissertation dealt with machine learning algorithms for computer-aided diagnosis of myocardial infarction and Covid-19. Lingsoft is proud to sponsor this award, as scientific research has been at the core of our operations from the very beginning, and we know that high-quality and impactful research benefits society as a whole.
