On 9 September 2025, we organised an AI breakfast for our customers, where we heard interesting presentations on AI, had the chance to chat with our customers face-to-face and, of course, enjoy a delicious breakfast.

The event was opened by our Marketing Director Laura Karlsson who outlined the schedule for the morning and presented Lingsoft’s story. Our Chief Services Officer Riikka Heikkiläpresented Lingsoft’s perspective on the opportunities of AI for public administration.

Our speakers included Senior Editor Pauliina Peltokorpi and Senior Specialist Riikka Kuronenfrom the Records Office of the Finnish Parliamentary Office. They talked about the recording process for Parliament's plenary sessions, in which Lingsoft's speech recognition is an important tool. The experts from the Records Office described how Lingsoft's speech recognition solution is used to transcribe the recordings of plenary sessions into minutes to provide the most accurate possible picture of the session and the speeches. The minutes are freely available to everyone in Parliament’s online service, and they are an important part of open and transparent democracy.

AI is a hot topic in all kinds of organisations, and the operating methods and principles related to its use are being actively refined and examined. The presentations made by our speakers sparked a lot of discussion – participants were very interested in hearing about best practices and concrete examples of using AI. As AI tools and the opportunities they provide are constantly evolving, more possibilities to share ideas, tips and perspectives will also be needed in the future.

The guests provided very positive feedback:

“Thank you for organising a pleasant breakfast info session! The Parliament of Finland and Yle were very interesting practical examples!”

“A very well organised and timely event, thank you and best wishes for a good autumn to everyone at Lingsoft!”

“A lot is happening in AI all the time, so it would be interesting to hear more about its impacts on the translation industry.”
