Maarit Peltola, Head of the Records Office of the Finnish Parliamentary Office
Maarit Peltola leads the Records Office of the Finnish Parliamentary Office, which handles tasks that include producing the minutes of plenary sessions and compiling text documents of video recordings stored permanently in Parliament’s online service. Maarit has worked in the Parliamentary Office for many years and she has been head of the Records Office since 2010.
Riikka Kuronen, Senior Specialist, Records Office of the Finnish Parliamentary Office
Riikka Kuronen is a senior specialist in the Records Office and she coordinates the use and development of speech recognition. Riikka also promotes accessibility at the Parliamentary Office by, for example, producing subtitles for video recordings and editing parliamentary texts into Easy Language.
Minna Pöntys, Strategic Head of Accessibility, Yle
Minna Pöntys has worked with accessibility for a long time. She started at Yle as a subtitling editor in 2001, and also spent eight years as a supervisor in the subtitling team. Minna became the strategic head of accessibility in 2019. This position involves maintaining close contact with stakeholders from minority and special groups, communicating about different media use needs to the company, and contributing to the consideration of accessibility in Yle’s content and services.
Minna has a Master of Arts degree and is a Finnish teacher. In her private life, she has two adult children and a passion for lighthouses.
Riikka Heikkilä, Chief Services Officer, Lingsoft
Riikka Heikkilä is responsible for the development and profitable growth of Lingsoft’s language services business. Her work focuses on improving customer value, customer satisfaction and the customer experience. The activities focus on customer needs, which Lingsoft meets with a language service solution that is enhanced by artificial intelligence and utilises data.
Laura Karlsson, Chief Marketing Officer, Lingsoft
In her role as Chief Marketing Officer, Laura Karlsson’s main task is to support the company’s growth, customer satisfaction and customer acquisition by means of marketing and communications activities. Laura is responsible for the overall management and development of the Group’s brands and for planning and implementing marketing measures in cooperation with the marketing team.
